FIELD RULES
Practice fields: MRYSL teams may practice only on fields that have been approved by MRYSL. Please contact Rebecca Nordquist to request a practice field change. |
"Field Closed" signs must be honored. You may not practice on any field with a field closed sign, until the field owner decides to take the sign down. Signs posted by the town or schools will be more current and take precedence over any notices on the website or hotline. Coaches or teams not respecting field restrictions will lose field use privileges.
Dogs:Dogs are not allowed on any fields, except service animals.
Trash/Recyclables: It is your responsibility to clean up after practices and games, including all trash, bottles, and other recyclables. Leave the field in better condition than when you arrived!
Rain Outs/ Cancellations: If home games are rained out or cancelled, it is YOUR responsibility to notify your opponents that your game is cancelled. Failure to do so may result in a forfeiture!
Field Usage: Please tailor your drills so that you avoid the goal boxes, center of the field and any other worn and/or muddy areas. Over use on wet days can cause extraordinary amounts of damage that may take weeks or months to repair, and result in hundreds of dollars of charges to MRYSL!
Not following rules will result in the League not being able to use fields.

Take CA 299 east to
Willow Creek(approx 38 miles from Arcata)
turn left on
CA 96 east to Hoopa (approx. 12 miles).
Pass the high school and elementary school.
Field of Dreams will be on the left, just past the girls’ softball field.

Hoopa Pookey's Park
Take Hwy 299 to Redding/Willow Creek
In Willow Creek, turn left onto Hwy 96 (by Coast Central Credit Union)
Follow Hwy 96 all the way into Hoopa
In Hoopa you will pass the High School football field
Turn left (this road will be between the High School and the Elementary School)
Follow this road to the stop sign and then turn right onto Loop Road
Pookeys Park is there on the left side

Driving instructions to Hiller Park:
From Crescent City continue on 101 South
Exit at Murray Road in McKinleyville.
Turn LEFT on Murray crossing to the east over the highway.
Turn RIGHT at the first stop sign - McKinleyville Ave.
Turn RIGHT onto Hiller Ave. heading west over the highway.
Turn RIGHT into Hiller Park.
From Arcata take 101 North
Exit at School Road in McKinleyville.
Turn RIGHT (east) on School Rd.
Turn LEFT at the 1st stop sign (Washington St.) and follow the road as it becomes McKinleyville Ave.
Turn LEFT onto Hiller Ave. and continue west over the highway.
Turn RiGHT into Hiller Park.

Pacific Union Fields, City of Arcata

The Arcata City fields at Pacific Union are located to the east of Pacific Union Elementary School.
Please do NOT park on Riberio Lane. |
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PACIFIC UNION PARKING
Parking for the Arcata City fields next to Pacific Union is in the Pacific Union school parking lot. DO NOT park in the neighborhood east of the field (off of Ribiero Dr.).
There are "No Parking" signs on Ribiero near the entrance to the field. Vehicles parked there will be ticketed. Residents in that neighborhood are very concerned about parking issues, and will not hesitate to call police to enforce the parking regulations in that area.

Scotia Field
Take U.S. 101 South. Get off at the firstst Scotia exit (Exit 679). Make a right turn off the exit ramp and make an immediate left onto Main Street. At the "Winama Theatre" make a right turn onto Bridge St.then a left onto Pond Ave, which will become Williams St./Railroad Ave. Take this road down through a neighborhood and the field will be on the right hand side. |

Take exit #650/MIRANDA/PHILLIPSVILLE
Go .2 miles and turn right on Maple Hills Road
Go .3 miles and Turn Left on AVENUE OF THE GIANTS(CA-254)
Go 1.62 miles and Arrive at South Fork School on the right.
Turn right just before the school. The field is behind the school. |
