For Fall 2009:
Sign ups May 1 - 31, 2009
Everyone who signs up by deadline plays. Must be 4 years old by July 31.
Ages 4 - 7: Crickets - U6 co-ed Crickets and U8 Girls and Boys teams
Ages 8 - 14: U10, U12, and U14 Boys and Girls teams
Ages 15 - 18: U18 small sided co-ed teams
To determine your age division:
Your division is determined by your age as of July 31. Example if you are age 12 on July 31 you would be either U13 or U14 depending on what age group was being offered.

Registration Information & Instructions
Please follow Instructions Carefully.
Incomplete forms could jeopardize you child’s placement on a team.

Important General Instructions:
1. Please complete a 1601 registration form. Make sure you sign wherever a signature is needed. There are 2 different styles of forms now because we are in transition. They both are perfectly acceptable.
2. Please complete a separate registration form for each child.
3. New this year, we need the mother’s birth month and date for all players. The newer forms have a specific spot for this. On the older forms, please write the month and date next to the mother’s name.
4. Verification of birth date is required. All new players must show proof of birth date. Acceptable formats: birth certificate, passport, alien registration card, or Medi-cal card.

Coach/Team requests: We do our best to accommodate requests. Write your request on the form in the space marked “other” under Parental Support. There are no guarantees.

Team formation/Important dates: Teams are drafted in July. We try and form the teams as fairly as possible with limited information. Coaches will be given their team rosters in August at the coaches’ meeting. Practice begins as early as August 11th. The Jamboree (pictures and first games) is August 23rd.

Fees: D4 First Child: $75 Second Child: $70 Each Additional Child: $65

Volunteer Policy: New this year! Due to lack of volunteers, we are adopting a new volunteer policy. Families can opt out of volunteering by paying a per season fee of $20.00. This way the league can afford to pay for such things as lining fields, field preparation, etc. If you decide to not pay, you will be expected to fulfill two hours of volunteer time. These hours will be designated and signed off by the league.

Late registration: Teams are formed first come, first served. There will be $25.00 late fee form registration postmarked after May 31st. After May 31st, players will be placed on a waiting list and notified of team placement depending on availability. Fees will be returned by September 30, 2008.

Payments: Make check or money order payable to MRYSL. If your check bounces, you will be charged a $10 service fee. Your player will be placed on the waiting list until fee payments are resolved.

Refunds: The only way to receive a refund is to notify the league in writing by August 31st. If your child was already placed on a team, there is a $25.00 service fee deducted from the refund. Only acceptable reasons for a refund: child becomes ill or injured & is unable to participate in games or moving out of the area prior to season.

Financial Assistance: To be eligible, your registration must be postmarked by May 31, 2008.

4. Volunteer fee or commitment of “parental support”(filled out on 1601)

Financial Aid
Financial Aid is a fee reduction of $30.00. If you would like to apply for one, you will need to send the appropriate fee with your registration form and also fill out a Financial Aid form. This form may be obtained from an area or age group rep or on the forms page of the web site and must accompany registration.
Note: If you have multiple children, deduct $30.00 from the appropriate registration fee. There are no scholarships available after May 31.

Notification of Team Placement
Schedules and team placement are completed in July. You will be notified by your coach between August 15-20. If you did not hear from a coach by August 20 contact your area representative.
